The Camden County Historical Society’s campus in Haddonfield includes one of the finest local history collections in South Jersey. Greenfield Hall, the main historic house, dates to 1841 and served as the home of the prominent Gill family. The society’s library holds an exceptional archive of documents, photographs, and genealogical records for the region. Haddonfield itself is one of New Jersey’s most historically significant towns — it was here that the first complete dinosaur skeleton in North America was discovered in 1858 — and the Historical Society tells that story well.
