Lavender season is short – only about three to four weeks. It typically kicks off in mid-to-late June, so you’ll want to plan ahead if you plan on exploring to find the perfect field.

Below are the lavender farms that are worth the trip. We have tried to include dates, times and prices when they were available.

Mad Lavender Farm

This one’s an experience, not just a farm. Founded by two artists-turned-farmers, Mad Lavender sits on 10 acres and offers goat yoga, workshops, farm picnics, photo sessions, and a little shop full of lavender goodies. You can pick your own lavender for $20 (15 minutes) or $30 (30 minutes). There is also an option to volunteer to learn how to harvest lavender and in return you can earn 1 bunch.
Lavender picking is open June through July 5, 2026.

Orchard View Lavender Farm
π 101 Karrsville Rd, Port Murray
A hidden gem on 10+ acres of land that dates back to 1765. Orchard View is 100% organic – no pesticides, no herbicides – and offers cut-your-own lavender during bloom season, plus a gift shop stocked with lavender bath products, culinary goodies, essential oils, baked treats, and more.
They are only open for special events, so sign up for their newsletter to get the dates for their lavender picking events.

Pleasant Valley Lavender Farm
π288 Pleasant Valley Rd, Morganville
Inspired by the “Lavender Capital of North America” (Sequim, Washington, if you’re curious), Pleasant Valley started with 150 plants and has grown to nearly 2,000 across 10 rolling acres. U-pick sessions, photo ops, and a gift shop with dried lavender, baked goods, body scrubs, and more.
Daily U-pick begin June 15.

Hidden Spring Lavender & Alpaca Farm

Not just lavender but alpacas too. You can walk them on Saturdays (reservations required) or just wander the lavender fields on your own β no entry fee on non-event days, though donations are appreciated.

Happy Day Farm
π106 Iron Ore Rd, Manalapan Township, NJ
130 acres of farmland with lavender fields featuring the ‘Phenomenal’ variety. Come for the purple blooms, stay for the fresh-squeezed lemonade and shaved ice.
Lavender garden opens in June. Cost to pick is $16 per person, under 2 free. Bundles of lavender are $8 each.

Allaire Lavender Farm

A lavender lover’s dream with multiple varieties available for you to pick. You can also meet the resident goats, alpacas, and chicks, and pick up lavender treats and honey at the farm store.
Field & Flock Lavender Farm

South Jersey’s most activity-packed lavender destination. Stroll the fields, shop the store, take a yoga class in the lavender, sign up for date night, or go full nerd at Lavender Bootcamp and learn to grow your own. Their Lavender Academy makes this one especially fun for the curious crowd.

Lavender on the Bryn at Penbryn Farms

This small family-owned farm has 7 varieties of lavender plus wildflowers, sunflowers, zinnias, and snapdragons rotating throughout the season. Lavender products, lavender classes, and good energy.
Opening day is May 23, 2026 and they are open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in June and July. $5 admission for adults, $3 children and under 3 free.
Copper Knoll Farms

Copper Knoll Farms is more than just lavender, but they offer several special events during lavender season. There “Night Out on the Farm” brings guests to a field of lavender during what us photographers call the “golden hour”. That time when the sun is sitting giving you a beautiful glow.
During your time there you can harvest a bunch of lavender, enjoy a walk in their garden and take in the moment and hear the sounds of wildlife. They also offers snicks, massages, photos and more.

A Few Tips Before You Go
Before you go here are a few things you should know.
- Bloom season is short β typically mid-June through mid-July. Check each farm’s website before heading out.
- Bring cash β many farms are self-service or cash-preferred.
- Wear closed-toe shoes β working farm terrain can be uneven.
- Bees love lavender β they’re usually chill, but heads up if you have allergies.
- Book alpaca experiences in advance β they fill up fast.
