Event Details

Since 1962, the Patcong Valley Model Railroad has been in operation at several locations throughout Atlantic County and is currently located in Richland, NJ.

​The PVMRR is a fictional, regional railroad serving northeastern Pennsylvania and northern New Jersey, approximately from Scranton to Weehawken. We model a time period from the late-1940s to the late-1950s, the waning days of the steam engine and the expansion of diesel motive power.

Our railroad interchanges with the mighty and the meek of the era– the New York Central, Pennsylvania Railroad, Jersey Central, Erie-Lackawanna, Delaware & Hudson, and Lehigh Valley are just a few of the Class 1 “Fallen Flags” you can see. Run-through power from southern, mid-western, and western railroads is also plentiful helping to haul manufactured goods, coal, oil, steel, and lumber to a wide variety of users from the big city of Weehawken to the transit hub of Scranton and the many small towns and villages in between.

Annually, we open our doors to the public during selected dates over the summer months and throughout the winter holidays. Our greatest joy is seeing the pleasure, enjoyment, and delight of our visitors as they tour our model railroad taking in all the sights, sounds, and details the railroad has to offer
