Event Details

All parishioners, friends and neighbors are welcome to support our annual festival! The festival is our biggest fundraiser, which helps support the continued operations, ministries, and outreach efforts of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church.

Proceeds from the festival help sustain religious education programs, youth activities, charitable initiatives, and the preservation of our church for future generations.

This family-friendly celebration is hosted on the lawn of the church’s community center, alongside the beautiful waterfront of Perth Amboy. Proceeds from the event help to fund the Church’s community activities and parish ministries.

Traditional Greek delicacies such as Authentic Gyros, souvlakia, delicious, crispy calamari, plus Greek dinner favorites such as Pastitsio, Moussaka, as well as, delicious desserts including baklava (walnut strudel), kourambiethes (butter cookies drenched in powdered sugar), koulourakia (butter cookies), finikia (sweet, honey, sugar cookies) and our famous loukoumades (honey puffs) will be offered.

Complete the epicurean experience with a visit to our on-site Taverna Bar featuring imported Greek beer, wines and FRAPPE (Greek Iced Coffee), Greek and American coffee at our Kafenio (Café).  Visitors will dine outside enjoying fresh air breezes from our amazing location on the Perth Amboy Waterfront with our beautiful river view!

Enjoy live Greek music and dancing! Be sure to catch a performance by our St. Demetrios Greek Youth Dance Group, with our smiling, enthusiastic dancers eager to demonstrate our traditional Greek dances.

In addition, Church tours will be offered for those wishing to see the beautifully restored St. Demetrios’ sanctuary and learn more about the Orthodox faith.
