The first exhibition to examine the lives, ideals, and contradictions of Abraham Clark, John Hart, Francis Hopkinson, Richard Stockton, and John Witherspoon, Five Independent Souls displays over 100 extraordinary historic objects, including items not usually on public display and original works by Charles Willson Peale, John Trumbull, and other renowned Revolutionary-era artists. A National Historic Landmark, Morven itself was briefly occupied by the British during the war.
