tep back in time during the Open House in Fenwick’s Colony Tour on Saturday, May 2, 2026 (10 a.m.–4 p.m.)!
Hosted by the Salem County Historical Society, this year’s tour celebrates the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution with a special journey through the historic villages and countryside of southern Salem County.
Follow the old colonial roads from Salem through Alloway Township and into Upper Pittsgrove Township as you explore 23 historic homes and sites rarely open to the public.
Highlights include:
The stunning patterned-brick John Dickinson House (built 1754).
The historic Hancock House, site of a Revolutionary War massacre.
Colonial homes such as the Abel and Mary Nicholson House, Holmeland, and the John Jarman House.
Historic villages including Daretown and Alloway.
The beautiful Old Pittsgrove Presbyterian Church and cemetery.
You’ll also visit historic Quaker, Presbyterian, and Lutheran meeting houses that reflect Salem County’s long tradition of religious freedom and refuge.
