Flea Markets in New Jersey

Jersey does flea markets right. From a 200-acre behemoth that’s been running since 1929 to a tiny church-lot sale under a covered bridge, the state is packed with places to dig for treasure. Some have been around longer than your grandparents. Some are brand new and weirder than most.

We organized every confirmed flea market in NJ so you can actually use this list. Year-round spots first (shop in December, shop in July, doesn’t matter). Seasonal markets after that. Always call or check socials before you drive — weather, weddings, and random closures happen.

Last updated: April 2026.

This list is ONLY flea markets – nothing else.

Central NJ Flea Markets

Avenel Flea Market

The Avenel flea market is a year-round flea market with over 150 vendors offering new, used, and antique goods. You will find jewelry, clothes, fresh produce, antiques, you name it. It’s indoor and outdoor, so you’ve got options rain or shine.

Fun Fact: Some vendors have been setting up shop here for decades. You’re not just buying stuff—you’re part of a tradition that’s older than your parents.

Collingwood Auction & Flea Market

The Collingwood Auction and Flea Market, is twenty-five acres of organized chaos. The year-round flea market has hundreds of outdoor merchants plus a 60,000-square-foot building with 100+ indoor booths. Housewares, clothing, jewelry, antiques, furniture, sports gear, produce—it’s all here. The mix ranges from storage-unit finds to legit vintage treasures.

It’s been a Jersey staple for 50+ years. The outdoor market thins in winter but the indoor space keeps humming year-round. There’s a guy named Igor inside who repairs antique pocket watches like a wizard.

Fun Fact: The sub shop near the highway entrance makes killer subs with homemade hot relish that people drive from all over for. Also, there’s an excellent pickle vendor in the center aisle (this is my secret addiction!).

location: Route 33 (just after 33/34 circle), Farmingdale
hours: Fri-Sun 8am-5pm, open all year
open dates: all year round, rain or shine

Englishtown Auction

The Englishtown Auctions, around since 1929, was once one of the largest open-air markets in the entire country. But over the last few years I have noticed a decline. There are five indoor buildings plus hundreds of outdoor vendor tables. Vintage toys, antiques, records, guitars, comic books, pet supplies, home decor, clothing, food trucks, the works.

Englishtown was my go to for most of my twenties and cannot deny the impact of a cheesesteak in the morning after a night out with friends. In its heyday, it would be packed and you could not find a parking spot. In the last few years, it has definitely seen a slowdown in traffic – and vendors. Still worth it? Absolutely. But I would love to see it come back to life the way it was.

Fun Fact: The auction is also home to Mainbrook Tavern, which is a secret gem in itself. The vibe is lowkey, food is good – and people are great. Highly recommend it!

address: 90 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, NJ 07726
hours: Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
open dates: all year round, rain or shine

They’ve got a baby spa, cheese shop, restaurants, and even specialty food areas—it’s basically a mini shopping village.

The indoor section is designed like a turn-of-the-century Bay Avenue streetscape. 8,000+ visitors per weekend. Family-friendly with live music events called “Music at the Mart.”

Fun Fact: Established in 1977 and has been going strong ever since. The market attracts families from all over the Jersey Shore.

New Egypt Flea Market Village

Over 40 climate-controlled historic buildings filled with antiques, collectibles, furniture, handcrafted goods, tools, clothing, electronics, and more. Plus outdoor vendor tables. It’s like a small historic village.

Many of the buildings are actual WWII barracks brought from Fort Dix in the early 1970s, plus Bordentown’s original single-room schoolhouse. Founded in 1959, it’s one of the last unpaved, old-school country markets in NJ. Free admission, free parking, and a genuinely rustic vibe.

Fun Fact: They host a variety of unique events throughout the year like a Fire and Ice Festival, Pop Culture Yard sale and more.

An 80,000 showroom and lots of outside space make Recycling the Past a one stop shop for anything you might need for the home. Tables, airplane parts, windows, glass, lighting – you need it – you can probably find it there!

Fun Fact: They welcome everyone from homeowners to retailers to set designers!

North Jersey Flea Markets

Five Acres Flea Market

Five Acres flea market is an outdoor flea market with an indoor antique shop. This market gets some mixed reviews, but if you love a challenge, this might be one for you. The outdoor vendors can be minimal and the inside sounds like a lot of “junk” that you have to scour through. But sometimes those are the places that have the most worthwhile items!

Fun Fact: Free parking. Close to scenic Belvidere—makes for a nice weekend outing in Warren County.

address: 421 Route 46, Belvidere, NJ 07823
hours: Saturday and Sunday 9am -3pm

It started as a livestock auction and evolved into this massive shopping complex. Free parking, tons of variety, and the Golden Touch pretzels made fresh on the premises are worth the trip alone. Over 13,000 people walk through here every weekend.

Flea Market Tips for Jersey

  • Go early. The best stuff is gone by 10 AM. Real bargain hunters are there at sunrise.
  • Bring cash. Small bills. Most vendors take it, some don’t take anything else.
  • Haggle. That’s the whole point. Don’t be rude, but don’t pay sticker.
  • Check the weather. Most outdoor markets cancel or thin out in heavy rain.
  • Follow their socials. Flea market schedules change constantly. Facebook and Instagram are the most reliable updates.
  • Eat the food. Flea market breakfast sandwiches are an underrated Jersey food group.
